Do you know how you sometimes say, "No way in hell I like X subgenre"? And then the Universe laughs and laughs... Because you find an author that makes you forget about that rule and a book that makes you question your preferences and your morals!
This is that book and that author...
Holy shit! This is a ride you will willingly get on, hold on tight, and you won't even mind when you get off of it with your hair a mess, your eyes watery, and your mascara running. Then, you'll smile maniacally and say...Let's do it AGAIN! Nat is an unassuming art teacher whose fiance disappears without a trace. With her best friend Sloane by her side trying to get her out of her shell, she's still hurting and trying to make sense of it all. A stranger comes into town and nothing and no one will ever be the same.
A great storyteller will make you question the things you know about yourself, even if it's just for a second.
This is that type of book.
Chemistry off the charts, characters that are incredibly human, you will not want to put this book down until you reach the end. And then, staring into space, you'll sit there with a smirk. Because you'll discover things about yourself that you never suspected...or, it'll reaffirm things you already knew. This is the first book of a standalone, (but interconnected) series and I seriously can't wait for the other two books!! One hell of a ride, five brilliant stars!
